About Barquin Photography

Barquin Photography is a Miami-based photography studio specializing in dance studio photography, dance team photography, school photography, and professional portraits. With over 25 years of experience serving South Florida, we have built a reputation as one of the most trusted and experienced dance photographers in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Barquin Photography is available worldwide.

Who We Are

We are a family-owned and operated photography business founded and led by Carlos Barquin, Owner and Production Manager, alongside Eli Barquin, Customer Service Manager. What started as a passion for capturing movement and artistry has grown into a full-service photography studio serving dozens of dance studios, dance teams, and schools across South Florida every year.

Our team is led by Kassie Abad, Dance Division Director, who works directly with studio directors and dance team coordinators to ensure every session runs smoothly from start to finish. Together, we bring a personal, hands-on approach to every client relationship — because we know that behind every photo session is a dancer, a family, and a community that deserves to be celebrated.

What We Do

Barquin Photography specializes in photography services designed specifically for dance studios and dance teams in Miami and surrounding areas. Our services include:

  • Recital Portrait Sessions — We photograph entire dance studios efficiently and systematically using our exclusive barcode system, keeping every dancer's images organized and easy to access. Sessions are available for in-person ordering and through our online platform.

  • Company Portrait Sessions — Custom-designed sessions for each dance studio, with tailored lighting, backdrops, and posing for every dancer. No cookie-cutter approach — every image is crafted to make the dancer the focus.

  • The Banner Program — Team banner photography with three format options: on-location shoots, one-by-one in-studio sessions, and our most popular composite-by-groupings method, complete with a reveal day experience.

  • Recital Video Coverage — Professional video documentation of your studio's recital performances.

  • Rain Sessions — Our annual signature photo event, featuring dramatic rain effects for stunning, one-of-a-kind dance portraits. Limited dates sell out every year.

  • School Photography — Year-round portrait services for schools and i9 sports leagues throughout South Florida.

Who We Serve

We proudly serve dance studios, dance teams, dance moms, and school organizations throughout South Florida, including Miami, Coral Gables, South Miami, Pembroke Pines, Miramar, and communities throughout Miami-Dade County and Broward County.

Our studio clients range from small independent dance schools to large established studios with hundreds of dancers. Whether you're a studio director looking for a reliable annual photography partner or a dance team coordinator planning your first banner shoot, we have a program designed for you.

Why Studio Directors Choose Barquin Photography

Dance studio photography requires more than technical skill — it requires an understanding of movement, costume, lighting, and the unique logistics of photographing large groups of dancers of all ages and skill levels. That's what sets Barquin Photography apart.

For over 25 years, Miami dance studio directors have trusted us because we show up prepared, we keep sessions running on schedule, we deliver consistent quality, and we treat every dancer — from the tiniest beginner to the most seasoned company member — with care and professionalism.

We don't just take photos. We create images that studios are proud to share, that families treasure, and that dancers remember for a lifetime.
